Change of bank account
Pensions are paid exclusively by bank transfer to an account in the name of the pension holder.
Exception: By court order, the pension can be paid into another account (for example: the pension holder is under guardianship).
Want to change your bank account? Then there are two options!
You are a CNAP pension holder
The change of bank account must be requested from the CNAP in writing, either by post or by using the contact form for pension holders. The request for a change must be accompanied by the full bank account details (RIB - relevé d'identité bancaire) issued by your financial institution. Without this document, the request cannot be considered.
The “relevé d'identité bancaire” is an official document issued by your bank or other financial institution in Luxembourg or abroad. This document must show the name of the account holder, the IBAN number and the BIC/SWIFT number of your account.
Postal address:
Caisse nationale d'assurance pension
L-2096 Luxembourg
Attention :
- Don't forget to include your Luxembourg social security number on your documents!
- If you change bank accounts, please wait until the CNAP has paid the pension into the new account before closing the old account. In this way, you can avoid any interruption in the payment of the pension.
You are not a CNAP pension holder
A change of bank account can only be requested by a pension holder.
